Accountability

Accountability is built in, not bolted on.

For a child- and youth-centred institution, accountability cannot be a report written once a year. It is the structure of the institution itself: how it is governed, how it protects children, and how it positions itself honestly within national and international frameworks. These three disciplines are where a serious partner should look first.

Establishment Phase

Board and executive roles currently overlap.

During the Establishment Phase, Genette Foundation is led operationally by its two current senior executives, the Project Director and the Strategic Director. The same two founders also hold the registered Board offices of Chair and Secretary respectively. The wider Board of Trustees is being constituted, and the Foundation’s governance architecture is designed to broaden oversight as that process is completed.

Test it against the documents.

Accountability should be verifiable, not asserted. The public document set sets out the governance, financing and safeguarding logic in full, and the Foundation's leadership is available to serious partners conducting diligence.
